Fanlistings
Since around 2003, I have been a part of the fanlisting community. I stumbled upon the then small community when I was avidly joining cliques and webrings on my little geocities website. Being a BTVS fan, and since that was primarily how fanlistings started, it was only natural for me to apply to run one. Now my absolute favorite character/couple/actor were all taken, but not the rivalry that took my man Seth Green away from the show. In April of 2004, having purchased my own domain and hosting, I felt confident enough to undertake the task of running a fanlisting. In May 2004, I was approved for my very first, and most dear to me, fanlisting; the rivalry between Willow Rosenberg and Veruca.
It's now been five years and a domain change later, but fanlistings are still an important part of my online presence. I'm even helping out the community as a trouble checker.
Now if you have absolutly no idea of what a fanlisting is, I suggest you visit thefanlistings.org and find out. But simply put, they're little lists on the internet that allow others to know you're a fan of a subject. You simply fill out a form with your name, email address (you can opt to have it not shown), your country of residence and if you have one, your website address. Simple, easy, and while it's a bit on the dorky side, it's actually kind of fun.
General Fanlisting Things
The reason for the split of fanlistings is simple. I'm slowing tranforming to using Listing Admin as a fanlisting script. However, my free time is limited at the moment and I'm only able to convert the fanlisitings slowly. In an effort to keep me sane, and have last updated dates in one place, I've included both sets of fanlistings on the collective.
I'm also making it hard on myself by changing joined code sizes. As I make the codes, I'm adding them to the Listing Admin joined area and deleting them from the Enthusiast 3 joined area.
